Sharon Malone is a consultant and coach with over 25 years of Human Resources leadership experience. Since 2008 she has been using her background to serve as an executive coach to many valued leaders. Sharon also engages in enterprise-wide talent management initiatives including succession & talent planning, leadership development programs, executive search, and executive assessment for both selection and development.
Sharon previously served as Vice President of Talent Management for ING across the Americas and prior to that as Vice President of Leadership Development for Cigna HealthCare, both Fortune 100 companies. Working with senior leadership, Sharon re-engineered and revitalized succession planning and personally provided executive coaching and career counseling to top 200 leaders. Within these corporations, Sharon was accountable for executive search, executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, employee survey, organizational design and talent acquisition. She has extensive international experience and understands the unique cultural dynamics of an environment having partnered with executives to enhance results in Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, and in South America.
In the community, Sharon sits on the Board of Directors and serves as Board Vice Chair for Corporation for Independent Living, a not-for-profit real estate development firm. She previously served as President of The Repertory Theatre of New Britain, Inc. and on the Board of The Muscular Dystrophy Association of CT. Sharon was a recipient of United Cerebral Palsy of CT’s Humanitarian Service Award in recognition of her special fundraising efforts.
Sharon holds a M.S. in Organization & Management from Central Connecticut State University and a B.A. from CCSU in Organizational Communication. She has served as an adjunct professor at CCSU. Sharon is also a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute, and a Six Sigma Executive Green Belt. She is a member of The International Coaching Federation and SHRM. Sharon is certified in numerous developmental programs, instruments and tools. She coaches across the US and resides in Farmington, Connecticut.
